THE AUTHOR
Jim Tal Evans is a published sportswriter whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and on websites.
He has covered and written about virtually every sport at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.
Mr. Evans has been writing about Notre Dame athletics for over twenty years. He has also been a longtime follower and observer of the Cincinnati Reds. Because of his keen interest and working knowledge of these two historic sports teams, he brings a unique and fresh perspective when writing about them.
He is also the creator of the "Way Off Base" comic strip that appears on this website.
Mr. Evans was born in Elmhurst, Illinois and for the last ten years has resided in the rural community of Valley Center, California.
